A Different Approach
A Different Approach
Our 2019 Non-Auction Fund Raiser
We are experimenting with a different approach to fund raising this year.
Because of the increasing expense of dinner-auctions, we have decided to have a “Non-Auction” fund raiser event this year. We still need your help!!
Now in our 17th year, with your help, we have given over $407,200 to 47 nonprofits helping children in need here at home and in developing countries. This year, we have given $18,500 to 6 marvelous organizations. These include:
Arlington Kids’ Kloset, Snohomish, WA – Providing clothing essentials to children of low-income families
Washington Kids in Transition, Edmonds, WA -funding food for homeless students on the long bus rides home
Scarlet Road, Bremerton, WA -Educating students on sexual exploitation and connecting them with help
Camp Mariposa, Everett/Seattle, WA – Free addiction prevention and mentoring weekend camps for children ages 9-12 impacted by substance abuse in their families
Komedyplast, Lima, Peru – Providing poor children free life changing craniofacial surgeries
Hope for Girls, Dominican Republic – Assisting girls extradited from the sex trade with a safe living place, counseling and education
… and we are continuing to find and consider more worthwhile organizations.
We are limited in the grants we can give by how much we raise each year. Funds come from personal donations, clowning, and from our previous dinner-auctions.
We continue to maintain an overhead cost of less than 10%. We also continue to spread joy – this year clowning at 30 events across the U.S. and internationally.
So, breathe easy, we are not inviting you to another auction. You can instead relax at home in your jammies, cuddled up enjoying your favorite TV shows
We hope you will consider donating this year in the amount you would typically spend at our dinner-auctions.
Donate through our website, or with a check to our P.O. Box address, above. We will send you a receipt for your donation for tax purposes.
We highly value your continuing involvement with us.
Thank You!
